How data is handled for people using Superba Knowledge.
Data controller
The controller for data collected through this platform is Claudio, reachable at info@superbaknowledge.org.
Data collected
Superba Knowledge pages are static and require no login or account. The platform does not use profiling cookies or third-party advertising tracking tools. The only point of data collection is the optional feedback form, accessible from the "Feedback" button on every page, which may include:
- a usefulness score for the platform (1-5);
- an optional free-text comment;
- only if the user chooses to sign up for the newsletter: email address and professional role (e.g. Company, Engineering Officer, Deck Officer, Cadet, Other).
Newsletter sign-up happens through a separate, non-pre-selected checkbox: email and role are only requested if this checkbox is voluntarily activated by the user.
Purpose of processing
The score and comment from the feedback form are used exclusively to guide the platform's development priorities during the beta phase. Any email address provided is used solely to send communications about platform updates (new modules, new topics, new features).
Legal basis
Processing is based on the user's explicit consent, given when submitting the feedback form and, separately, when voluntarily activating the newsletter checkbox.
Retention and third-party providers
Data submitted through the feedback form is handled through a third-party form-collection provider (Formspree). Data is not sold, transferred, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes other than those stated on this page.
User rights
At any time you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, or unsubscribe from the newsletter, by writing to info@superbaknowledge.org.
